Padraic Gahan has been recruited as Baroda Stud's bloodstock and consigning executive. Gahan, a UCD Commerce graduate, leaves Goffs after six years as bloodstock executive, during which time he played an integral role in cataloguing the sales and doing inspections, among other duties. Gahan was also previously racing communications coordinator for AusHorse and spent time with Emerald Bloodstock, Goffs UK and Ashford Stud. Gahan also breeds and pinhooks in his own right.
David Cox, manager of Baroda Stud and Consigning, said, “we are delighted Padraic is joining us, he will be a big asset to Tamso and I to drive on the consigning business where we currently sell 200 horses a year. We have been growing over the years and the time is right to bring in an enthusiastic and experienced person to support us and help us grow and we are confident Padraic will fit in well with our excellent team both on the farm and at the sales.”
Gahan added, “I am very excited to join David, Tamso and the team at the esteemed Baroda Stud. I feel that it is a great opportunity for me to build on my previous experiences and for us to grow collectively. I look forward to working with like-minded individuals to continue to sell the best horses for the best clients to the best purchasers.”
